SCRAPBOOK VARIETIES

       It was an unusual warm December’s day as I braced myself against a tree in Maplewood’s Cemetery. I stood watch for the Harrison, Arkansas and Basehor, Kansas Fire-departments vehicles to come up over the hill towards the main gate to the Cemetery. I was asked to photograph the Recession of a young man who had lost his life in the line of duty from Kansas. 

    I only knew him by name as I stood among his family and friends. But as I listened to the eulogy I learned he was more than a 19- year old boy. But a man who was loved by many in a pursuit of his dream that day, however it led him to his destiny. This is what I saw through the cameras veiwfinder that day.
